Com next stops between two Chi-Town staples he's used as locations in videos — for "Resurrection" and "I Used to Love H.E.R.," respectively: Harold's Chicken Shack ("Known for their special sauce!") and Kenwood Liquors ("We come here sometimes after church, sometimes on a Saturday night. You always see cats you knew at the liquor store, hanging out, finding out where the party is going to be"). Standing between two places that hold a lot of meaning for him, Common pauses to remember the days when he was Lonnie Rashid Lynn, a youth who was trying to stay righteous but had one foot on the dangerous side of the fence. .
A Vegetarian’s Paradise for Lovers of Chinese Food
The Chinese restaurant of the same name is located in the Sunset, on Irving near 21st. While it’s neither a paradise nor mysterious inside, the food is quite delicious, and all of it is vegetarian. The restaurant, a neighborhood treasure since 1978, is decorated like a rural farmhouse: flowered vinyl tablecloths, fake wood paneling, hanging lamps with basket-type shades and small painted Chinese landscapes in plastic gilded frames. Though I did get the impression that the furnishings were a facile take on Midwestern décor circa 1970, the ambiance was comfortable, inviting and unassuming. Immediately after we sat down, the waiter brought tea and pickled vegetables. The pickled veggies were very good. The tea they serve is Melaleuca, made from the alternifolia bush in Australia.

UK TO LOOSEN FERTILITY CONTROLS
After months of consultation, the British government has released a draft overhaul of its contentious fertility legislation. Many significant changes have been made, but the bellwether issue is the creation of chimeras, or hybrid animal-human embryos. Although there had been signs that the government would ban these, the proposed legislation allows them. Health Minister Caroline Flint denied that it had caved in to pressure from scientists and patient groups. She said that the government always wanted to leave the door open to such research and that scientists had made a strong case for it. Scientists were pleased, although Dr Stephen Minger, head of the stem cell team at King's College London, lamented that Parliament was too involved. Only scientific and ethical experts were competent to regulate the fast-moving field of embryonic research.
Gunners' late show downs Fulham
But Chelsea came out flying for the second half and were soon back in front, Essien lashing home a curling first-time shot after Shaun Wright-Phillips' cut-back. In the day's late match, Reading's Dave Kitson was sent off in the 72nd minute against Manchester United at Old Trafford, but his side were still able to hold the champions to a 0-0 draw. .
