Many a story about good eats in the little republic have I heard, and perhaps I am going to be able to verify them for myself this weekend. Tibet Forbidden Land
The Forbidden City, Lhasa, had stirred my imagination even as a child. The prospect of visiting the mysterious land was a ‘forbidden pleasure' I always fancied. Life fulfils one's fancies in strange ways. In Kathmandu, I noticed a multitude of travel agencies offering trips to Tibet, and after much bargaining got a reasonably priced deal. To travel to Tibet, one needs to be part of a tourist group and at all times be escorted by an authorised travel guide. The one-week package deal included bed and breakfast, a land cruiser that would take us from Kathmandu to Lhasa, entry fees where applicable, and a flight back.
One rainy morning, I set out in a bus loaded with tourists from across the globe towards the Tibet border, adrenaline levels insanely high. After a bus ride through breathtaking landscape, we finally reached the border.

Tsolakis surprised pundits who had predicted he would keep the report under wraps until after Sundays parliamentary elections to avoid accusations of becoming involved in the campaign. The VIEW Wakulla Middle School
As the school year comes to a close, the students and staff at Wakulla Middle School put the finishing touches on another successful school year. We’re very proud of our students’ success and academic accomplishments that they have achieved during the year. Excitement fills the air on the Pumas Team. Students in Ms. Piland’s class are learning why good communication skills are important. Partnering with Workforce Plus, the students attend a resume writing workshop given by Kimberly Moore. Students learn how to list the skills and the experience they have in a positive light. They also learn all about the application process and what to expect in a job interview. As part of the program, students visit local businesses and participate in formal interviews. Selected student then get placed in summer jobs. These students are getting first hand career experience, are able to link their schoolwork success in the job world and are earning their first real paycheck.
